Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

None. Sayt has no user accounts, no sign-up, and makes no network requests to transmit your information. We operate no server that receives your data, so there is nothing for us to collect, store, sell or disclose.

We cannot see your projects, photos, notes, measurements or reports. We do not know how many projects you have created, or whether you use the app at all.

2. Information stored on your device

Everything you create in Sayt is written to your iPhone's private app storage:

• Projects, site visits, observations and issues
• Photos you capture or import, and any annotations you add
• Measurements, floor plans and pin locations
• Checklists, scheduled visits and generated reports
• Your professional profile — name, profession, licence number and logo — used only to brand your reports

This data is protected by iOS and is accessible only to Sayt. It is included in your device backups if you have iCloud Backup or encrypted local backups enabled — that backup is controlled by Apple and by you, not by us.

3. Device permissions

• Camera — to photograph the site and to measure distances. Images are written to Sayt's own storage. They are never uploaded.
• Photo library — only when you choose to import an existing photo or floor plan, or to save a site photo out to your library.
• Notifications — local reminders for site visits you schedule. These are generated on your device. We operate no push notification server.

Each permission is requested at the moment it is needed, and Sayt continues to work without it — you simply lose that specific capability.

4. Location

Sayt does not request or use your device's location. Any address attached to a project is text you typed yourself.

Photos you capture in Sayt are written without embedded GPS metadata.

5. Analytics, tracking and advertising

Sayt contains no analytics SDK, no crash reporting service, no advertising and no third-party tracking libraries of any kind. We do not use the Advertising Identifier and we do not track you across apps or websites.

6. Sharing your data

Sayt never transmits your data anywhere. You can export a report, a photo archive or a visit file, and share it using iOS features such as AirDrop, Mail or Files. When you do this, the file goes directly from your device to the destination you choose. It does not pass through us.

Once you have shared a file, its handling is governed by the service you shared it through and by the recipient.

7. Purchases

Sayt Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. Payment is handled entirely by the App Store — we never see your payment details. Your purchase status is verified on your device against Apple's receipt and stored locally.

Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

8. Children

Sayt is a professional tool intended for adults. It is not directed at children and we knowingly collect no information from anyone, of any age.

9. Deleting your data

Deleting Sayt from your iPhone permanently removes every project, photo, measurement and report it holds. Because none of it was ever sent to us, there is nothing further to request the deletion of.

Check that you have exported anything you want to keep before deleting the app. Deletion cannot be undone.

10. Your rights

Regulations such as the GDPR, CCPA and the Philippine Data Privacy Act give you rights to access, correct, export and delete personal data held about you. Because we hold none, these are satisfied directly on your device: your data is already in your sole possession, exportable at any time, and deletable by removing the app.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with an updated date. Sayt's local-first design is fundamental to the product, so if we ever introduced a feature that transmitted data, it would be optional and clearly disclosed before you used it.

12. If you email us or join the beta

The statements above concern the app itself, which sends us nothing. If you contact us by email — for support, or to ask for a TestFlight invitation — then we necessarily receive your email address and whatever you write.

We use it only to reply to you and, for beta testers, to send the invitation and occasional notes about the test. It is never sold, shared with anyone, or added to a marketing list. Ask us and we will delete it. Beta distribution runs through TestFlight, which is operated by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy.
